About Pine Township
Pine Township, named for its abundance of pine trees, was established in 1796, is located in Allegheny County and has a total area of approximately 17 square miles. Pine also has an abundance of newer residential and commercial developments as well as many churches, one being http://www.crossroadsgibsonia.org/ established in 1827, which is still active today.
Pine Township has a very active community with lots of volunteer opportunities such as: Adopt-A-Pineway, Easter Egg Hunt, Litter Pickup, Summer Recreation Program, Pine Holiday Dazzle Show and also has a Community Center where fitness, wellness and fellowship all happen under one roof. This community is thriving!
Educationally speaking, Pine is home to two top-rated public high schools in Pennsylvania, North Allegheny Senior High School and Pine-Richland High School as well as, a private high school, Vincentian Academy.
